Laphroaig Quater Cask Bottled 2008
The Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an intense Islay single malt whisky that achieves exceptional depth and complexity through its double maturation in ex - bourbon casks and smaller quarter casks . The increased contact with the wood develops aromas of coconut, banana and vanilla, which blend harmoniously with the typical smoky peat character of Laphroaig . On the palate it is deep , complex and smoky with a surprising, gentle sweetness. The finish is long, dry and spicy with appropriate smoke and spices.
