In 1970, during harvest time, a young Frenchman stood among the vines, the late summer sun warming his back – and he knew: he had arrived. It was during this time that Jean-Luc Pasquet took over his uncle's vineyard in the Grande and Petite Champagne.
Most of the cognacs selected by the next generation of Pasquet, Jean and Amy Pasquet, for their Très Vieille Fine Champagne L.54Y cognac originate from that very year. As a Fine Champagne, it is made exclusively from grapes of the Grande and Petite Champagne regions, with at least 50% coming from the Premier Cru.
With an impressive average aging period of 54 years, a finely balanced masterpiece unfolds: profound, opulent, and exceptionally complex. Ripe and exotic fruits meld with warm wood notes, delicate spices, and a remarkable length that elevates this cognac far beyond the ordinary.
