This 100% handcrafted bottling is based on malted barley and matured until its completion in 2026 to weave the spicy grain notes of rye with the fruity elegance of sherry. The Hercynian Distilling Co. distillery is at the heart of this bottling.
Cask Maturation and Origin
For the Heartgow Summer 2026, the curators selected an exceptional maturation combination of 1st Fill Rye Whiskey casks and Malaga Moscatel Sherry Hogsheads. On the palate, the full complexity of the cask choice is revealed: the spicy rye bread notes typical of rye emerge and meet the honey-sweet texture of the Malaga influence. An exclusive collector's item for conscious enjoyment. With an edition of only 384 bottles, this single malt is a true rarity that convinces connoisseurs primarily with its naturalness.
Aroma
A bouquet of dark fruits and rustic spice Shimmering in bright amber, the whisky already reveals an intense profile on the nose of ripe cherries and dried raisins, underpinned by a fine vanilla sweetness. Nuances of star anise and a subtle orange bitterness give the drop structure, before it fades into a long-lasting, woody-spicy finish with a hint of honey.
