Hennessy James Hennessy Cognac
Hennessy is a renowned cognac distillery based in Cognac, France. Cognac production is a complex and artful process. Locally grown Ugni Blanc grapes undergo six essential steps—from careful harvesting to the first sip of exceptional cognac in your glass. A double distillation is required to produce Cognac eau-de-vie, requiring approximately 12 kilograms of grapes to produce one liter of eau-de-vie. During aging, the eaux-de-vie and wood rest together for years, exchanging aromas and colors. Each eau-de-vie requires years of dedication and barrel aging to develop its full complexity.
With this limited edition, the House of Hennessy honors one of the defining figures in the family's history: James Hennessy. He was a pioneer who opened up new markets and carried Hennessy's success far beyond the boundaries of cognac. In the new creation bearing his name, the Maison's Master Blender has created an elegant, modern cognac that unfolds its aromas in a subtle and sophisticated way.
