Glenrothes 20 Years Old 2005/2026 Oloroso Sherry Cask Thompson Bros
This 20-year-old Glenrothes was distilled on April 1, 2005, and bottled in January 2026 by Thompson Bros. The Speyside Single Malt spent its entire maturation period in a single European oak Oloroso sherry hogshead. The cask yielded only 327 bottles, bottled at a robust 52.7% ABV cask strength, without coloring and without chill-filtration.
The long sherry cask maturation results in a dark, rich, and lush texture. Muscovado sugar and nutmeg meet very ripe banana, spicy speculoos notes, and clove oil. Hints of herbal liqueur and melting rum-raisin ice cream complement the intense, sweet-spicy profile.
