North Highland Blended Malt 8 Jahre Glen Ord & Clynelish Casks Thompson Bros

Der North Highland Blended Malt von Thompson Bros. vereint acht Jahre alte Single Malts aus mehreren Brennereien der nördlichen Highlands. Die Basis bilden Clynelish und Glen Ord; ergänzt wird die Komposition durch einen kleinen Anteil stark getorften Dalmore. Die Trinkstärke von 44,9 % Vol. wurde über 47 Tage besonders langsam eingestellt, größtenteils noch im Fass. Abgefüllt wurde in natürlicher Farbe und ohne Kühlfiltrierung.

In der Nase zeigen sich Pfirsiche mit Sahne, Kiwi und weißer Pfeffer, begleitet von feuchtem Küstengestein und einer feinen mineralischen Frische. Am Gaumen bleibt der Blend weich und zugänglich, mit Mandarine, heller Fruchtsüße und einer dezenten Zuckernote. Honigmelone, wachsige Pfirsiche, Kerzenwachs und Schiefer prägen den anhaltenden Ausklang.
