North Highland Blended Malt 8 Years Glen Ord & Clynelish Casks Thompson Bros

The North Highland Blended Malt by Thompson Bros. combines eight-year-old single malts from several distilleries in the northern Highlands. The base consists of Clynelish and Glen Ord, complemented by a small proportion of heavily peated Dalmore. The drinking strength of 44.9% ABV was adjusted particularly slowly over 47 days, mostly while still in the cask. Bottled in natural color and without chill-filtration.

The nose reveals peaches with cream, kiwi, and white pepper, accompanied by damp coastal rock and a fine mineral freshness. On the palate, the blend remains soft and approachable, with mandarin, light fruit sweetness, and a subtle hint of sugar. Honeydew melon, waxy peaches, candle wax, and slate characterize the lingering finish.
