Under the aegis of Sam Simmons, Head of Whisky at Master of Malt, this single malt matured for seventeen years in a refill barrel. A combination of nutty oiliness and vibrant fruit. In the glass, the whisky presents itself in a warm copper tone, immediately exuding a bouquet of tart apple and fresh citrus notes, underpinned by a distinctive, almost waxy oiliness. The Glen Garioch distillery is at the heart of this bottling.
Cask Maturation and Origin
This specific cask choice is crucial: it allows the original distillery character to fully unfold without dominance from fresh wood, while time carefully refines the whisky's texture. Limited to just 369 bottles, this single cask is a rare document of Scottish distilling art, proudly bearing its origin on the cream-coloured label.
