Daftmill from the 2011 harvest year
Farming and whisky production are closely linked at Daftmill. Francis and Ian Cuthbert run the distillery in Fife, Scotland, and utilize the quieter times in the agricultural calendar for distillation. The Concerto barley for this Summer Release comes from the southern fields of the farm and was harvested in September 2011.
Twelve years in bourbon casks
This single malt from the Lowlands was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026 after twelve years of maturation. Fourteen first-fill bourbon barrels were used for this edition. In total, the bottling comprises 3,775 bottles with an alcohol content of 46.0% ABV. The whisky is non-peated, non-chill filtered, and bottled without coloring.
Pastries, light fruits, and vanilla
- Nose: Buttery shortbread and barley sugar meet floral notes. Melon and a hint of green herbs complement the aroma.
- Palate: Peach and apricot define the fruity opening. These are joined by creamy vanilla, malty notes, oats, and a fine ginger spice.
Enjoying it neat is recommended to experience the notes of fruit, pastry, and spice.
