Cask Maturation and Origin
The combination of Speyside power and Portuguese sweetness The spirit, distilled in January 2009, spent its formative maturation period in Speyside before being refined in a 1st Fill Madeira Hogshead. The renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage specifically selected this single cask for its exclusive Cask Strength Collection. Purist enjoyment at a distinctive cask strength Thanks to the consistent omission of chill-filtration, the entire aromatic spectrum and oily mouthfeel of this 17-year-old malt are fully preserved.
Aroma Profile
On the nose, dense aromas of dried figs, dates, and candied orange peel unfold, accompanied by a subtle note of fermented pineapple and dark honey. On the palate, a full-bodied, almost sticky texture reveals itself with spicy pepper and cinnamon, leading to a long-lasting finish with hints of oak.
