The Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica XLC Dry Riesling 2020 is an outstanding example of the successful combination of traditional German winemaking with American innovation. From the sun-drenched vineyards of Washington State's Columbia Valley, this exquisite white wine is the result of a unique partnership between renowned German winemaker Dr. Ernst Loosen and the esteemed Chateau Ste. Michelle winery.
The 22-month maturation on the fine lees is a key feature of this wine and contributes significantly to its fascinating complexity and velvety texture. This extended maturation on the lees allows for harmonious development of the aromas, which in the bouquet are seductively reminiscent of fresh limes, juicy tangerines, and crisp green apples. From the very first scent, a complex interplay of aromas unfolds, stimulating the senses.
On the palate, the Eroica XLC unfolds a juicy, voluminous presence, accompanied by perfectly balanced acidity and a pronounced minerality. These characteristics give the wine a lively freshness that makes it an ideal accompaniment to both fine dishes and social occasions.
