In this 14-year-old single malt from Islay, intense smoky aromas meet the influences of a First Fill Sherry Hogshead. Distilled in 2012, this Caol Ila matured in cask number 311512 and was bottled in 2026. A total of 294 bottles were produced from the single cask.
This bottling has a cask strength of 55.9% ABV and is bottled without artificial coloring or chill filtration. Its mahogany appearance is accompanied by a flavor profile that combines fruity, sweet, and spicy notes with distinct peat smoke.
Aromas and taste
- Nose: Smoked meat defines the start; stewed apples and fresh orange peel provide fruity accents.
- Palate: Sweet butterscotch meets intense peat smoke and gentle aniseed notes.
- Finish: Long and spicy, with roasted coffee beans and a dry finish.
For tasting, the whisky can be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of still water.
