Cask Maturation and Origin
An Islay unique from Claxton's Distilled on February 12, 2015, at the renowned Bowmore distillery, this whisky matured for eleven years before being selected by independent bottler Claxton's for the "Warehouse No.1" series. Limited to just 280 bottles and bottled in its natural amber color, this single malt remains an unadulterated testament to Scottish craftsmanship.
Aroma
Smoky depth and maritime elegance The nose reveals a complex interplay of gentle peat smoke and a salty sea breeze, elegantly underpinned by spicy cinnamon and dark chocolate. On the palate, the whisky presents itself full-bodied and powerful: here, the typical smokiness meets sweet citrus notes and a fine pinch of salt, rounded off by the dry spice of European oak. The finish is long-lasting and dry, with a subtle residual sweetness of dried fruits and a maritime hint lingering on the palate.
