This Benriach from the renowned Cask Strength Collection captures the moment when Speyside's vibrant fruitiness meets the dry elegance of perfectly conditioned oak. Craftsmanship and Speyside Heritage Distilled in February 2015 at the Benriach distillery, this single malt matured for over eleven years before being refined with a finish in a 1st Fill Amontillado Hogshead.
Cask Maturation and Origin
The independent bottler Signatory Vintage created a limited yield of only 341 bottles with this single cask bottling. Bottled at natural cask strength of 58.4% vol., it ensures that the distillate's oily-malty structure is preserved in its purest form. The finish is long-lasting and characterized by a complex interplay of nutty sherry nuances and a subtle fruitiness, typical of maturation in Amontillado casks.
Aromatics
A complex interplay of nut and dark chocolate The bouquet is defined by striking notes of walnut and hazelnut, accompanied by a delicate sherry spice and a hint of cedarwood. On the palate, a powerful texture reveals aromas of dark chocolate and raisins combined with a dry woody spice.
