Ben Nevis with Orange Wine finish
This Highland Single Malt combines nine years of maturation with a finish in a 1st Fill Orange Wine Cask. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2026, it comes from single cask no. 6, which yielded a total of 306 bottles. The bottling is at cask strength of 59.0% ABV and is free from coloring and chill filtration.
Fruit, malt, and spicy accents
- Nose: Orange peel and dried citrus fruits accompany the scent of ripe apples and pears.
- Palate: Caramel and sweet malt notes form the foundation for ginger, cinnamon, and pepper. This is joined by a vinous influence.
- Finish: Dry and long, with cocoa, dark fruit notes, and subtle oak.
Tasting
The non-peated Ben Nevis can be explored neat at first. Subsequently, a few drops of water can help to perceive the spicy notes more clearly.
