Speyside Tradition in a 1st Fill Pedro Ximénez Hogshead Distilled in May 2011 at the Aultmore Distillery in the heart of Speyside, this single malt owes its complexity to the expertise of independent bottler Signatory Vintage. After a long initial maturation, the whisky received a distinctive finish in a 1st Fill Pedro Ximénez Hogshead, which lends dark, viscous fruitiness to the classic Speyside character.
Cask Maturation and Origin
It is an invitation to explore the depth of a carefully selected single cask, which skillfully blurs the lines between distillate and cask character. Bottling as a single cask (Cask No. 1) underlines the exclusivity of this project, of which only 338 bottles exist worldwide.
Aroma
The bouquet is dominated by intense notes of dried figs and raisins, which on the palate transition into a liaison of dark chocolate and spicy ginger.
