Not every single malt so openly bears the signature of its makers as this Auchentoshan from Signatory Vintage's Un-Chillfiltered Collection. On the palate, a velvety texture with nuances of dark grapes and milk chocolate gives way to a long-lasting, dry-fruity finish with a hint of cinnamon.
Cask Maturation and Origin
Lowlands tradition meets Amontillado refinement. The Auchentoshan distillery is known for its elegant style, but it is only through the expertise of the independent bottler Signatory Vintage that this malt achieves its full complexity. After distillation in 2013, the whisky spent a total of 13 years in selected casks before receiving its decisive finish in First Fill Amontillado Hogsheads. A play of copper sheen, stone fruit, and noble spice. In the glass, the whisky presents itself in a warm copper tone, already hinting at the intensity of the cask aging.
