Mit „The Midgie“ widmet Ardnamurchan den berüchtigten kleinen Plagegeistern der schottischen Highlands eine charaktervolle Sonderabfüllung. Für den 2026er Release wurden 34 % Bourbon Barrels, 49 % Ruby-Port-Barriques und 17 % Tawny-Port-Barriques miteinander vermählt. Die Rezeptur aus 72 % ungetorftem und 28 % getorftem Spirit verbindet intensive Frucht mit sanftem Rauch.

In der Nase zeigen sich rote Himbeeren, Golden Syrup, frisches Zedernholz, Veilchen, weiche Mandelkekse und eingelegte Zitrone. Am Gaumen treffen dezenter Zigarrenrauch, Brombeeren, Zitronenthymian, rosa Pfeffer, Feigensirup, Pflaumenkuchen und Muskat aufeinander, bevor Bitterorange und Meersalz den anhaltenden Abgang prägen.

Mit 48 % Vol., ohne Farbstoff und nicht kühlfiltriert abgefüllt, ist The Midgie 2026 auf 9.742 Flaschen begrenzt. Die klare Flasche besteht zudem zu 54 % aus recyceltem Glas und ermöglicht über einen QR-Code die blockchainbasierte Rückverfolgung.
