With the Whitlaw 2013/2022 - 9 Years Oloroso Sherry Butts (Signatory) Single Malt Whiskey from Highland, connoisseurs discover a whiskey from the Scottish region. Bottled at 43% vol., this whiskey spent 9 years in its cask and convinced with a rather low smokiness. A fine drink that gives a lot of pleasure in the glass.
The aroma shows hints of dark chocolate and heather blossom honey. The taste is strong, with forest honey, juicy apricots, ripe figs, fresh peanuts and a pinch of pepper, but also dried garden herbs and fine smoke. In the aftertaste one recognizes slightly singed wood and toast with orange marmalade. A medium-long endurance completes the overall experience.
