Plantation Trinidad 2008
Plantation Single Cask Rums are limited edition double-aged haute couture rums, first aged in bourbon casks in the tropics and then further aged in French Ferrand oak casks in south-west France. Award-winning cellar master Alexandre Gabriel raises each cask individually using ancestral French aging-elevage techniques: while all Plantation rums are double-aged, the Single Cask rum benefits from further aging in carefully selected beer, wine or spirits casks, each are matched to enhance the rum. Each individual rum cask undergoes a unique aging path to size, and each bottle is personalized and numbered. Only a few casks of this unique reserve rum are bottled each year, making it a collector's item.
