Lochlea Distillery Fallow Edition First Crop
With the “Seasonal Releases”, Lochlea reflects what happens on the farm as the seasons change. The new Lochlea Fallow Edition tells of autumn. Fallow evokes images of rustling leaves in bold colors on fallow fields that come to rest in the winter season. The limited edition whiskey is the first Lochlea bottling to be matured 100 percent in Oloroso sherry butts. The American white oak barrels from Jerez impart delicious aromas of freshly baked banana bread, malt biscuits and dark dried fruit, with hints of aniseed and rose petals in the finish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Ripe red fruits and freshly baked banana bread.
Palate: Dried fruits, leathery notes, malted pastries.
Finish: Medium length with hints of aniseed and floral rose petals.
