The GlenAllachie Cuvée 2011, bottled exclusively for Kirsch Import, initially matured in American oak barrels. For an additional, aroma-intensive maturation process, Billy Walker selected three other types of casks with different characters: Pedro Ximénez Sherry Puncheons, Madeira barrique casks and Port Pipes.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Plenty of mocha, liquorice and sultanas, followed by muscovado sugar, honey-glazed cherries and ripe garden fruit.
Palate: Waves of heather honey, cinnamon spice and caramelized sugar give way to syrup, ginger and orange zest.
